mp3 players are selling like hot cookies (sic)

I wonder what sort of bit rated people are using with these mp3 players.

It depends, if they use Apple iPod and buy songs via iTunes, it is 128k
AAC.
Or if you are me, they are coded at 192 kbps AAC (VBR) and still the
iPod and the external battery run out of power after 28 hours before all
tracks are played. So I could code them at an even higher bitrate, but
must concede that that is not very useful.
