Tandberg tape recorder: repair?

Had a TD20A 10" reel to reel for some years, and need to have it
repaired. The take up spool fails during 'Play' - it just doesn't
start, and the tape winds through the heads and isn't wound up.

I think this was a fairly common 'event' with the machines. I'd like
to get it fixed.

Tandberg's corporate site offers some links to companies in Norway and
US - a bit far from here in the UK. Does anyone know of an audio
service department in UK I could contact, whether Tandberg or other
company? I've got the manual and it contains the main board circuit
diagram, in case the problem is a power transistor or something.
post on uk vintage radio repair restoration forum, see if theres
someone in your area; (where are you based by the way? and maybe
yahoo groups reel to reel, and even tonbandwelt.de.

chances are a relay has poor contacts or a motor capacitor needs
changing.

Grateful for any info, and many thanks
