frankensti-fi surround sound
|
Hey Guys,
I'm trying create a surround setup in my room. I picked up a Logitech
X 230 (2 spkrs, 1 sub) for $10 and am trying to hook it up to my
bedroom stereo. I have a component system with surround sound speaker
outputs (L+R) at 8-16 ohms. I have this surround output connected via
RCA lead which goes into a male 1/8' jack (then through a bunch of
adaptors, into another male 1/8' jack) into the logitech system - I
know - high end stuff! But after about 50 seconds of a song - the
sound cuts on the primary and surround speakers - I'm guessing the amp
isn't happy.
The logitech system has some kind of amp inside the subby powering
things - is there anything I can do to get his dodgy setup working
(using the h/phone out cuts sound to the primary speakers...) ?
Answers in english appreciated!

yep, it sounds like you know all about hi-end kit.
you have a powered sub, which is normal, plug your $10 specials into
that, then hook the sub up to the sub output on your amp.
But you already know all that..
