Roland Dimension D SSD320 users?

Somebody has experience with the Roland Dimension D SSD320?a
How is it used in a mix, making the stereo image better in a mix, make it
larger,
From my information it is a very limited chorus unit, with 4 modes, no
parameters.
Is there someone out there using it on mixes, I suppose it is used on
subgroups like drums, backings...etc, what else?
Can you compare the sound of it with something else, with another chorus
machine? PCM70 chorus?
We have one. I love it. I would described it as warm, smooth and creamy.
Very nice on individual instruments and voices in SMALL doses. You
definitely do not want to put it across an entire mix.

I believe there's a plug-in version now. I rarely use plugs so I can't
compare.
There's also a Dimension D model in the Boss CE-20 Chorus Ensemble pedal
(Twin Pedal Series).
